Resistant seawater butterfly valve

Resistant seawater butterfly valve

The seawater-proof butterfly valve adopts a floating seat ring design combined with a rubber sealing structure. It can be designed with a bi-directional (bi-way) sealing configuration for enhanced performance.

The double-eccentric sealing structure also supports bi-directional sealing functionality. The double-eccentric floating seat ring is an improved design based on the traditional fixed seat ring. A schematic diagram of its structural layout is shown below.

Through optimized design, the butterfly disc effectively increases the valve's flow area while reducing fluid resistance, thereby enhancing the overall flow capacity of the valve.

Depending on different operating conditions, an appropriate sealing material for the butterfly disc can be selected to ensure zero internal leakage throughout one maintenance cycle.

The valve body, butterfly disc, chuck ring, and other main components are typically made from carbon steel or cast iron, which helps to reduce manufacturing costs and provides the valve with a high performance-to-price ratio.

All parts that come into contact with the medium are coated with corrosion-resistant materials, such as epoxy resin or other protective linings, ensuring excellent anti-corrosion and anti-erosion properties in harsh environments like seawater applications.
